The Retrievr pickup service for recycling clothing and electronics has been discontinued by the vendor. While we are sorry to lose this option, we do now have the Goodwill Keystone stores in Montco, Chesco, Berks and Bucks which are accepting electronics for reuse or recycling as well as clothing and household items. The Montco Recycling website has been updated with this information, see the listing under TVs as an example Televisions | Montgomery County, PA - Official Website

Accepts TVs and computer monitors, computers & peripheral devices, entertainment electronics, communication devices, visual & imaging equipment and small appliances for FREE. Please review acceptable and unacceptable items prior to dropping off electronics.

Dear Montgomery County Municipalities,
Thank you for your confidence and groundbreaking leadership in permitting Retrievr to provide our revolutionary “at-home” collection service for clothing and electronics over the last 6 years. We have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the importance and positive environmental impact of properly recycling clothing and electronics. We’ve offered the convenience of curbside collection, hoping to drive these items out of the landfill.
Although Retrievr had over 90% favorable ratings and a 50% customer return rate, we could not achieve a sustainable participation rate. Our collections have ended resulting from a leadership decision to pause Retrievr operations in the Philadelphia market.
Under the Montgomery County Agreement, Retrievr and Montgomery County recycled 95,000 pounds of clothing and 800,000 pounds of electronics.
We are proud of our accomplishments over the last 7 years of operating and look forward to the future.
